Transforming Mental Health in Richmond

Across Richmond, with help from the community, mental health care is being transformed and improved. On November 9th Healthwatch Richmond are hosting a public event to discuss the improvements, the challenges people still face and the road to better care.

Your help is needed in identifying what issues are still being faced and what we can do about them. This a real chance for you to make a difference to the way our local services are built and delivered. Local services are striving to work better together to provide easier access for people in need. They want to provide better and earlier intervention for when people start to become ill as well as flexible and personalized access to help so that those who need support can get it in a way that works for them.

This will prevent avoidable hospital admissions, reduce the length of stay for people who need hospitalization, get people discharged on time and provide better access to urgent care in the community.

You don't have to be a medical or health care professional, or have dealt with mental issues in the past to attend. There is no charge and refreshments will be provided.
