Youth Out Loud! A Healthwatch project lead by children and young people

Who are Youth Out Loud?
Youth Out Loud! are a group of people aged 13-17 working with Healthwatch Richmond and Healthwatch Kingston.
Youth Out Loud! was launched on the 8th of April 2019 and it is supported by Richmond and Kingston Councils, Clinical Commissioning Groups and Achieving for Children.
What does Youth Out Loud! do?
Youth Out Loud! has already visited Kingston Hospital, following the 15 steps framework. Read HERE how they contributed to improve its services.
Youth Out Loud! will continue reviewing services and issues that matter to young people, through their links to Healthwatch and other partners. Youth Out Loud! will have access to our research, service evaluation skills and communication capacity. They will be able to make films, surveys and use our powers to enter & review services. They will also make formal recommendations to providers, commissioners and scrutiny about how services could or should improve for children and young people.
Next Steps
Healthwatch Richmond and Kingston will support the young people at Youth Out Loud! to design and record a total of six videos. The next one will focus on children and young people's mental health.
