Seeking an experienced Chairperson to lead our transition from Healthwatch to ICBs over a critical 18-Months

Following the sad death of our much liked and respected Chair, Simon Boddis, Healthwatch Richmond is seeking a new Chair.

As Chair of Healthwatch Richmond you will have a unique opportunity to lead us during our final year until March 2027 and to help secure our legacy with the positive transfer of our functions into the Integrated Care Board and the Local Authority

As our next Chair, you will be part of a well run, effective, financially sound organisation with a committed staff and volunteer body, a strong and engaged Board and a positive culture.

As Chair, as well as being a Trustee, you will run meetings of the Board of Trustee, provide leadership to the organisation and manage the Chief Officer.

About us

Healthwatch Richmond is the independent watchdog for NHS & Social Care Services. We are a powerful organisation that ensures people's experiences are at the heart of the way that the NHS and social care services are planned and run.

Our Trustees have ultimate responsibility for Healthwatch Richmond, for ensuring that we are well run and that we deliver for our community.

Trustees sit on our Trustee Board (which meets around 6 times a year) and often join the Audit Committee (4 meetings a year), represent us at meetings with key stakeholders, or take part in focussed tasks and finish groups from time to time.

As Chair, as well as being a Trustee, you will run meetings of the Board of Trustee, provide leadership to the organisation and manage the Chief Officer.
