Hampton Wick Surgery: Enter and View Report

Healthwatch Richmond is looking at patients' experiences of General Practice within Richmond upon Thames. This is following on from our October 2024 report 'Patient Experience of General Practice in Richmond'.
We visited Seymour House and Lock Road Surgeries on the 28th and 29th of May 2025 and spoke to 23 patients and 5 members of staff.
Overall, we feel that this is a very positive report. We hope that this report provides assurance, especially in relation to patient satisfaction with the practice.
Based on our findings we created a series of seven recommendations for the practice. These were;
-
Share the positive findings from this report with staff and the patient participation group.
-
Appointment reminder texts should be reviewed to ensure they are sent at effective times and include the location of appointments (online or in person).
-
The leaflets, posters and TV adverts displayed at the practice should be reviewed.
-
The plan for future estate works should be submitted to Healthwatch Richmond.
-
A review of the upstairs waiting room should be undertaken to ensure patients are not at risk.
-
A water dispenser and cups should be introduced to the waiting areas.
-
A review of cleaning should be undertaken, with particular focus on the bathrooms.
