Acorn Group Surgery: Enter and View Report

Read our report about our recent Enter and View visits to Acorn Group Surgery as part of our wider work looking a patient experiences of general practices in Richmond upon Thames.

Healthwatch Richmond is looking at patients' experiences of General Practice within Richmond upon Thames. This is following on from our October 2024 report 'Patient Experience of General Practice in Richmond'.

We visited Acorn Group Practice on the Wednesday 4th and Monday 9th June 2025 and spoke to 36 patients and 9 members of staff.

Overall, we feel that this is a very positive report. We hope that this report provides assurance, especially in relation to patient satisfaction with the practice.

Recommendations

Based on our findings we created a series of seven recommendations for the practice. These were:

  1. Share positive findings with the practice team.
  2. Add an option to the Total Triage form to allow patients to request a specific clinician.
  3. Place the complaints form more prominently on the website.

  4. Ensure the total triage and sign in systems are accessible to people who speak English as an additional language.

  5. Display clinical staff and roles on the practice notice boards.

  6. Explore options which would allow the use of the TV screens to display key information more clearly.

Acorn Group's response to these recommendations can be found in our report.
