South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust are using the proceeds of recent sales of parts of their Barnes Hospital and Richmond Royal Hospital sites to fund new purpose built facilities on those sites.

We carried out a series of visits to review adult inpatient wards at Kingston Hospital. The findings of the report were based on the experiences of 102 patients and/or their family, and 65 members of staff.

Recovery & Support Team Review

Between January and April 2019 we visited the Recovery & Support Team at Richmond Royal Hospital. This multi-disciplinary service supports approximately 900 people, providing treatment and help to adults with severe and enduring mental health issues.

Anyone who is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service received from Healthwatch Richmond or Richmond Health Voices can make a complaint under this complaints policy.

In November 2018, we heard from 13 current patients, 5 past patients, 13 carers and 10 staff about their experiences of the Richmond Home Treatment Team (about 40% of their average caseload)
