    Healthwatch Richmond collected the opinions of parents and schools on services they have received from the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Richmond.

    Healthwatch Richmond was invited to work in collaboration with Richmond SEND Family Voice (RSFV), ADHD Richmond and Richmond National Autistic society (Richmond NAS) to collect the opinions of parents and schools on CAMHS services.

    In February 2014, we surveyed people using services provided by South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust to feed into the upcoming CQC inspection of the trust.

    In November 2017, we ran a large public event aimed at explaining the planned changes to mental health care and to give people a chance to share their experience and debate the issues with leaders in the sector.

    We ran an event explaining commissioners’ and providers’ plans changes for mental health care and gathering local people's views and experiences.

    In November 2018, we heard from 13 current patients, 5 past patients, 13 carers and 10 staff about their experiences of the Richmond Home Treatment Team (about 40% of their average caseload)

    Between March - May 2018, we heard from over 100 people about their views and experiences of the Richmond Wellbeing Service which provides free NHS psychological therapies for common mental health problems.

    In January 2018, Healthwatch Richmond surveyed patients and staff in the Richmond & Kingston Early Intervention Service (EIS).

    In July and August 2017, we visited the Lavender Ward at Queen Mary's Hospital (Roehampton). Lavender Ward is an acute admissions and treatment unit for adults (18-65 years old) experiencing a severe episode of mental illness.

    Between January and April 2019 we visited the Recovery & Support Team at Richmond Royal Hospital. This multi-disciplinary service supports approximately 900 people, providing treatment and help to adults with severe and enduring mental health issues.

    South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust are using the proceeds of recent sales of parts of their Barnes Hospital and Richmond Royal Hospital sites to fund new purpose built facilities on those sites.
